We serve Philadelphia from our Media office. We do not have an office in Philadelphia and we do not claim one. For almost every claim type that makes no practical difference, because cases run on phone calls, records, and hearings held somewhere else entirely.

We are honest about not being here

A great many law firm websites carry a page for every town in the county, each implying a local office, and some list an address that turns out to be a mail drop or a rented meeting room.

We have two offices, Media and Chester, and both are real. Philadelphia is served from Media. That is the whole of it.

Why it usually does not matter

Philadelphia is not in Delaware County and we are not a Philadelphia firm. We appear in Philadelphia County regularly, and we will tell you when a Philadelphia firm would serve you better.

Where a case is decided is not your town. A workers compensation claim is heard before a judge in the district covering your workplace. A Delaware County injury action is generally filed in the Court of Common Pleas in Media. A Social Security hearing is often held by video.

What does matter is knowing those judges, those insurers and those examining physicians, and we have practiced in this county since 1982.

Philadelphia specifically

Our attorneys litigate in Philadelphia County and in the federal Eastern District, and several are admitted beyond Pennsylvania. What we will not do is imply that we are a Philadelphia practice. If your case is a Philadelphia workers compensation claim that will be heard weekly in front of judges we do not appear before as often, we will say so. For injury claims, nursing home cases and disability appeals, the county line matters far less than people assume, and a great many of our clients live or work in the city.

  • Find your insurance declarations pages, since your own coverage is frequently the largest available.
  • Check whether a government body was involved, which shortens the deadline to six months.
  • Establish whether a second claim exists alongside the first.

Sometimes, and we will say so on the first call. For a workers compensation claim heard in a district where another firm appears constantly, that familiarity is a real advantage. For injury claims, nursing home cases and disability appeals, the county line matters far less, and those we handle routinely.
