The neighborhood of Aston Mills is located in the northern region of Aston Township in Deleware County, Pennsylvania. History

The greater area was part of one of Pennsylvania’s first townships and was incorporated in 1688. Settlers came in around 1682, and the area was called Northley. Its name would be changed at the hands of the constable, Edward Carter, as he paid homage to his old home in England.

At the five-point intersection on Concord Road was the Seven Stars Inn. During Colonial times, this inn served as a meeting place for the British. British General Cornwallis was even known for sleeping at the inn following the Battle of Brandywine in 1777.
